When I first began discussing Seared with director Brandon Weinbrenner, the idea of jazz emerged almost immediately. It wasn’t a forced concept—it was an instinct, a gut reaction to the rhythms, tensions, and improvisations that define both a high-stakes kitchen and the world of jazz.

Vance agreed, marking a pivotal moment in the theatre’s history.
